Imeem: "Your mom is a whore"
A while ago I was looking at several streaming music sites, the one that sticked out for me was imeem.com because of its extensive music selection. It doesn't take long for the mind to wonder how a service that one uses daily might work. It seemed strange to me that these services even existed and figured that they probably locked down the music well in order to stay in business. Before I realized it, I was studying the interface for the site and dissecting the train of thought of its developers. All I can say is that these guys are good. Their delivery service is the most elaborate flash-based DRM I've seen. Encryption, Tokens, Salted Hashes, Sessions, etc. it's all there. Sometimes they even go as far as trying to mask the music file as a GIF within the browser's cache. What I didn't see coming was the insult directed at my purely academic research efforts. "Your mom is a whore."

Oh let's not forget that on top of it all these kinds of sites use Adobe's ActionScript Messaging Format (AMF) for communication.

Solving my activesync problem
"The wizard was interrupted before microsoft activesync 4.5 could be completely installed"
I kept getting that error and my frustration grew as I was unable to load new stuff into my Q9c.
The problem relates to a missing or corrupted mapi32.dll, I'm going to take a shot in the dark and blame nLite for causing this. I started running into these kinds of issues since I did a stripped bare bones XP install with nLite.

Download mapi32.dll and place it in your c:\windows\system32 folder.
